Create Your Waiver
Open the Account dropdown menu in your admin area
Select Waivers from the list
Click the New Waiver button
This will open a simple form to enter your waiver's title and the terms customers will need to agree to. The title will let you easily identify one of your waivers from another. The terms presented to customer can be simply formatted with options like bullet points, numbered lists, bold, italic, and line breaks.
Assign a Waiver to Ticket Types
Go into your event editor
Under the Ticket Info section edit a ticket type
Select a waiver from the Waiver dropdown menu in the ticket type's settings
Waivers are assigned by ticket type. That means you can have a waiver for some tickets and not on others, or you can have different waivers for different tickets. With a waiver assigned to the ticket type during the checkout process customers must agree that they will be required to sign a waiver before attend, and then will be presented with two ways to sign the waiver after purchase:
Immediately on screen after checkout
Through a link they will receive via email
Customers will be required to sign a waiver for all tickets that include a waiver. One person can sign for all of them (i.e. a parent signing for their children), or the purchaser can assign individual tickets to other guests by entering a name and email address. Once a ticket is reassigned the email with a link to sign their waiver will be sent to the email address entered for them.
*** PASSAGE MANAGER APP UPDATES COMING SOON ***
Waivers are not supported in the current version of Passage Manager available in the app stores. However, once the new update is available waivers in the app will be handled in the manners below.
Scanning and Ticket Redemption with Waivers
Scanning a ticket QR code with Quick Scan disabled will show the customer's ticket list like normal, but tickets with waivers will also include either a label of Waiver Completed or "Unsigned Waiver". Tapping the Waiver Completed link will show the customers signature, and tapping the Unsigned Waiver link will go to a form where they can sign the waiver. It is up to you whether you want to require the waivers to be signed or not at this point. You will be able to manually redeem without a signed waiver if you want to. Please note: after a ticket is redeemed the waiver will be locked and not able to be signed.
β
Scanning with Quick Scan enabled will show a red "X" and not redeem the ticket if the waiver is unsigned. Scanning a second time will then pull up the tickets list like with Quick Scan disabled and the Unsigned Waiver links to sign. Same as above, at this point it is up to you whether you want to require the waivers to be signed or not before redeeming the tickets.
In-Person Ticket Sales with Waivers
After processing payment in Passage Manager for a ticket that includes a waiver, a Sign Waivers button will be shown on the final screen along with the buttons to email or print a receipt. Tapping this will pull up the form to sign the waivers for each ticket where one is required.

Note: There will be an added Service Fee of $0.50 per ticket purchased when a waiver is required. If fees are being passed onto the consumer, they will also pay this fee.
